Abstract In this study, physicochemical and biological examinations of water samples were performed. These analyses included measuring the pH, EC, TDS, TSS, DO, BOD, COD. Turbidity was also measured. Along with primary cations anions, heavy metals such as Fe, Mn, Zn, Cd, Cu, Co, Pb, Ni, Cr, As, Mo, Hg, Al, Li, Be, Se, V, U, Sr are included. The study hydrochemistry incorporates both geochemistry surface in Al-Kut city well from Tigris River that is discharged into main river.
